As we all know about essay paper that it comprises of 250 marks. The Essay Paper is one of the nine papers in the UPSC civil services mains exam. Here, you will have to write essays on given topics. UPSC examiners lay a lot of stress on correct grammar, legible handwriting and lucid flow of the essay. Make sure that each point/paragraph has some interconnection and you are not abruptly jumping from one point to another.

How to Chooses an essay topic in Mains Exam?

While choosing an essay topic, you should analyze each topic, gauge whether you have sufficient knowledge on that topic and you can produce a crisp 1000-1200 words essay which can capture the interest of the examiner.
